Welcome to the World of Eric Carle!

 

Over the next few weeks we will be doing an author study in second grade about the famous children's author and illustrator, ERIC CARLE! Now you might ask, aren't these picture books for little kids? Yes, they are simple stories with great illustrations but we are going to use his books to delve deeper into writing, exploring our emotions and expanding our creative outlook!

Field Trip! At the end of this unit we will be taking a class field trip to the Mayborn Museum in Waco, Texas to visit their Eric Carle exhibit and further make connections to our readings and experiences. More information to come!
